The Gamble For The Clintons (Prediction)
Once I saw the race getting close, I knew it would not be decided by the voters. Instead, it will be handled in a back room deal. A deal brought to the table by Howard Dean.
For weeks the DNC has been purposing that the Super Delegates decide the Democratic Race. Not as individual voters, casting their vote for the candidate they chose. The DNC would like to change those rules to the Super Delegates give all their votes to the one candidate with the lead. Whether that lead is by the slimmest of margins or just regained. The reason for the rule change, because Hillary is losing her control over the majority vote of the Super Delegates. It is predicted Hillary will regain the lead over Obama after the remaining primaries are over. So all would got to Hillary, giving them time to paint the win as ‘Desive, and the Will Of The Democratic Party’ all in hopes to
“…to avoid a fight at the party’s convention.” [Reuters]
Note: When a politician says ‘avoid a fight’ it actually means there probably will be or already is one.
How did Howard Dean get his position as the head of the DNC? The Clinton’s, Bill. I’m not saying the Clinton’s are members of the Mafia. In the movies, when you make a deal with the Mafia, you maybe called on to return a favor. Dean has to return the favor.
Note: Maybe the Clinton’s rip off of the Soprano’s ending had a hidden meaning.

How Many More Tuesdays Are There?
The Presidential race…Well, it’s not really a race for…President. It’s actually just the knock-out drag-out time until convention. All the media coverage focuses on whether the other can statistically win. That’s only the case for the Democrats. The Republicans…not so much. They have one clear winner with a delusional ‘hanger on’.
Obama Vs. Clinton
The Obama and Clinton race is interesting and scary. Interesting because it’s a nail [back] biter coming down to three key state primaries. Scary, well because it is all about how close the race is and not about there agendas. Although, Obama’s call for the Clinton’s income tax records is smart. As soon as everyone realizes how rich the Clintons are, they will no longer be the candidate of the people.
Obama, is the canidate with a ‘perfect storm’. Since he is of a mix race, he unifies the Afro-American and the Liberal Caucasians, both of which will feel ‘good’ about having a black-man in the OVal Office. This pisses me off because he could be elected based on race and not his qualifications. How can Obama be qualified when he doesn’t have the conviction to vote ‘For’ or ‘Against’ key Senate bills. When key issues have been on the floor of the Senate, Obama votes ‘present’ not Yeah or Nay.
Clinton on the other hand will vote Yeah or Nay, but lacks the conviction to stand behind her decisions. The best example, She waffled on supporting the humanitarian call to liberate Iraq. Which makes her waffling appear as a ‘finger in the wind’ decision.
Predicition: I am anticipating March 4th 2008 when Obama wins Ohio and Vermont primaries. Clinton will keep Texas.
McCain Vs. Huckabee
Huckabee has been a surprise to me. I am a supporter of the ‘Fair Tax Plan’ so he recieved a second glance. The surprise is the fact he cannot statistically win, but yet he insists on staying in the race. This is something I would have suspected of Mitt Romney, not Huckabee. Huckabee’s reluctance to concied is a power play for the future. He wants to show that he can narrow the gap between him and McCain. This will prove his electablity for 2012 or 2016.
Prediction: Mitt Romney will not be considered for Vice President.
McCain was not my first pick, but I am warm to him now. Why isn’t he known as a unifier? He has co-written plenty of bills with Democrats. Most of the conservative talk show host don’t like him either. Why isn’t there any hand holding across the isle?

Iraq Going Better, Were You Aware?
Do you watch the evening news? I admit I haven’t for awhile. Now that I have started again, I have noticed that Iraqi violence, insurgency, troop fatalities are the lead stories.
Why is this?
Because the troop surge is having lasting effects in Iraq. So much so that many newspapers, usually critical of the war, began covering obvious improvements:
…civilian fatalities down 75 percent, Iraqi security-force casualties down 40 percent, and weekly attacks are down 2/3 since June [via Boston Globe]
I’ll admit, and liberals would be sure to point out too, not all of it is because of Bush’s troop surge. We actually need to give some credit to the Iraqi Civilians and leaders. Shi’ite and Sunni leaders were beginning to realize the obvious, Al Qaeda was not only directing their attacks on US Troops.
Republicans and the White House need to trumpet these statistics whenever given the opportunity to.
Prediction: Democrats will tell us that the decrease in causalities is not a success especially without a democratic government in place.
This would explain why the speaker of the house Rep. Nancy Pelosi wants to be sure you remember that the Bush Administration…
…failure to devise a strategy for victory in Iraq… as presented by retired Lt. Gen. Ricardo S. Sanchez during the Democrats’ weekly radio address. [via WashPo]
She has to you know. How else will she be able to claim victory. She wants her revised funding bill, tied to a troop pull-out time line, to be responsible for the end of the Iraq war. Not because America Won. How does that justify her election and Democrats controlling power of the House.
Just like droughts, it might be dry in one area of the world, while it is raining too much somewhere else. The decrease in violence in Iraq could be contributing to the problems in Pakistan. Not a defeat, but rather a notice not to drop the ball.

Do You Believe The Internet Is Tax-Free?
Did you know that the internet is under the threat of being taxed? Not the shopping you do, but your access. All the people who ‘own’ the internet (Telco’s and Cable networks) want another tax shelter. That is the simple fact, this would be another way that Americans will pay THEIR corporate taxes.
Back in 1998 the House and Senate sought to protect the internet, in it’s young years, from the internet access tax. However, that protection is set to expire Nov. 1, 2007. Tonight the Senate has approved a seven-year extension. It will then go to the House, where they would prefer a four-year extension. In the past there has been support for a permanent ban, but has not been able to receive a majority vote.
This untapped source of tax revenue is to irresistible to pass up by most politicians.
Prediction: A bill will pass to tax internet access and it will be disguised as a ‘Internet Child Protection Act’ (sounds familiar…if I heard this from somewhere else I apologize for not remembering where)

Payback Is A Pelosi

Rep. Nancy Pelosi in the past has congratulated Code Pink’s protest tactics outside President Bush’s Ranch. Now that they are in front of her house…not so much. Evidently if they were ‘homeless’ she could have them arrested but since they have ‘Impeach Bush’…Freedom of speech strikes again!
Is she trolling for sympathy? This would have to be the first Code Pink demonstration I could get behind. The act, not the reason.
Side Note/Prediction: Will camping be added to the list of Torture Tactics banned by interrogators?

Hillary Not So Bad

Democrats and Liberals believe Hillary Clinton is the ‘answer’. Is that so scary?
It sounds as though Hillary is looking to George Bush and Darth Vader for campaign advice. The hints of this:
Democratic Debate [via New York Times]: When Tim Russert asked …You have said that will not pledge to have all troops out by the end of your first term, 2013. Why not?… Hillary responded with …Well, Tim, it is my goal to have all troops out by the end of my first term. But I agree with Barack. It is very difficult to know what we’re going to be inheriting…
A vote for Kyl-Lieberman Amendment: Senator Hillary Clinton voted in support of the amendment which names Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard as a “foreign terrorist organization. Most believe this opens the door to military actions against Iran.
Prediction: She will support increased funding if given the chance. She’ll say she was against it before she was for it.
The way I see it: Hillary’s pandering to the center could get her elected. Then when she is elected, and carrying on the Bush League Diplomacy, she is actually insuring Bush’s place in history. As one of this countries best Presidents.
So, let’s hear it, how dumb is Bush?

High School Musical: Jumps The Shark

Is this magazine issue …jam-packed with 100+ pictures…about their ‘real life’ relationship or the one set in the movies? Rare pictures? (ah…ha..ha)
Prediction: Investigative stories about how all of these actors and actresses were con’d out of backend sales.
